BEARMIN
"Awesome top notch quality! I didn’t know what to get for my first order so I called in and asked and gave a price. They recommended a Bearmin package that’s what went with and couldn’t be happier…. It will be great for camping, fishing and shooting or even for a car accident if needed. Thank you"

"Beyond the Basics: Why the BearMIN 2.0 Trauma Kit Deserves a Spot in Your Gear Lineup In the world of emergency preparedness, gear isn’t just gear—it’s peace of mind. Whether you're responding to a car crash, treating a gunshot wound at the range, or managing a chainsaw injury deep in the woods, the difference between chaos and control often comes down to what you have within arm’s reach. That’s where the BearMIN 2.0 from Refuge Medical steps in—not as a generic first aid kit, but as a purpose-built trauma solution designed for real-world emergencies. Designed for the Field, Not the Shelf The BearMIN 2.0 isn’t a kit you toss in the closet and forget. It’s compact enough to ride on your belt or pack, yet robust enough to handle life-threatening injuries. Built in the USA and packed with components from trusted names like North American Rescue and TacMed, this kit reflects a deep understanding of what responders actually need when seconds count. Its MOLLE-compatible outer pouch features a rapid-deploy inner insert—a design choice that speaks volumes. In high-stress scenarios, fumbling through layers of gear can cost precious time. With the BearMIN 2.0, you rip out the insert and immediately see everything laid out, even in low light. The external CAT Gen 7 tourniquet holder is another smart touch, allowing for instant access to one of the most critical tools in trauma care. What’s Inside—and Why It Matters This isn’t just a checklist of supplies. Each item in the BearMIN 2.0 serves a specific role in the MARCH algorithm (Massive bleeding, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Hypothermia)—a framework used by military medics and EMTs alike. • Bleeding Control: The CAT Gen 7 tourniquet, emergency trauma dressing, and compressed gauze are frontline tools for stopping hemorrhage. These aren’t budget knockoffs—they’re field-tested, TCCC-approved components. • Airway & Respiration: Chest seals and eye protection help manage penetrating trauma and facial injuries, restoring breathing and preventing further damage. • Burns & Hypothermia: A burn dressing and survival blanket provide immediate care for thermal injuries and shock mitigation. • Tools & Admin: Trauma shears, gloves, and a permanent marker round out the essentials for safe, organized treatment. • Everyday Injuries: A thoughtful “boo-boo bundle” includes bandages, gauze pads, and ointments for minor cuts, scrapes, and burns—because not every emergency is life-threatening, but every injury deserves proper care. Field-Tested by EMTs and Wilderness Responders As an EMT and Wilderness EMT, I’ve carried everything from military-grade IFAKs to bulky backcountry med kits. The BearMIN 2.0 hits a sweet spot: it’s small enough to wear comfortably, yet comprehensive enough to handle both trauma and everyday injuries. In wilderness settings, versatility is key. You might treat a broadhead wound one day and a sprained ankle the next. The BearMIN 2.0’s inclusion of burn care, boo-boo supplies, and a survival blanket makes it more than just a trauma kit—it’s a multi-scenario solution. Durability also matters. I’ve seen cheap tourniquets snap under pressure and knockoff chest seals fail to adhere. The BearMIN 2.0’s use of brand-name gear gives me confidence that it’ll perform when it matters most. Real-World Scenarios Where It Shines Let’s move beyond theory. Here are just a few situations where the BearMIN 2.0 proves its worth: • Range Accident: A negligent discharge causes arterial bleeding. The external tourniquet is applied in seconds, followed by gauze and pressure dressing to stabilize the wound. • Backcountry Injury: A chainsaw mishap leads to deep lacerations and shock. The compact kit fits in a hunting pack, and the survival blanket helps prevent hypothermia. • Vehicle Crash: You arrive first at a multi-car collision. Chest seals, burn dressings, and abdominal pads allow you to manage multiple injuries until EMS arrives. • Disaster Response: After a hurricane, EMS is delayed. You treat neighbors for trauma and minor injuries using one reliable kit. • Church or Workplace Safety: A volunteer safety team uses the BearMIN 2.0 to respond to both serious incidents and everyday scrapes—without needing multiple bags. A Few Tweaks to Consider No kit is perfect, and the BearMIN 2.0 could benefit from a couple of optional upgrades: • Hemostatic Gauze: While compressed gauze is included, adding QuikClot or Celox would enhance bleeding control. • Extra Gloves: A second pair of nitrile gloves ensures you’re ready for multiple patients or contaminated environments. Final Thoughts: Built for Those Who Take Preparedness Seriously The BearMIN 2.0 isn’t just for professionals—it’s for anyone who understands that emergencies don’t wait for ideal conditions. Whether you’re a concealed carrier, outdoor guide, prepper, or part of a church safety team, this kit offers a reliable, fast-access solution to trauma and everyday care. It’s not a gimmick. It’s not a generic pouch filled with random supplies. It’s a thoughtfully designed, field-ready tool built by people who know what it means to respond when lives are on the line."

"Five stars for the bear min 2.0. Great bag (I chose the Alpine) and contents. While stuffed tightly, there is still enough room to add anything you need to. The only negative for me are the fasteners on the Molle straps as I am physically unable to use them and would prefer snaps. Most people can probably use them ok. I have no complaints about the bag or contents. Thanks to all at Refuge! (I don't know how to add a pic, sorry.)"
